Avocados are pretty great. So great in fact, that I’d go as far to say that no healthy muscle building plan for men is complete without them.
Not only do they taste pretty awesome, but are also chocked full of vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A,C,E,B6, and K, as well as minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Oh and they’re high super antioxidant glutathione, removing free radicals and preventing the damage of cells.
If the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants weren’t enough, the real selling point of avocados for me as a man is the high amounts of monounsaturated fats, which are not only heart healthy but also great for the production and maintenance of natural testosterone in a man. In an age where young men have less testosterone than their grandfathers, anything that is pro-testosterone is in my diet to stay.
A favorite avocado recipe of ours is guacamole.
Guacamole goes great with just about anything you can eat at any time a day, whether putting atop a full meal or used as a dip for tortilla chips or fresh baked french or sweet potato fries.
I like mine (as well as just about everything I eat) HOT, so the addition of a hot pepper or two is a must. Just be careful about handling hot peppers, wear gloves if need be and be sure not to touch your face until hands are properly washed. I’ve gotten pepper juice on my nose and in my eyes before and trust me it’s not fun. Oh and guys think twice about taking a leak before washing your hands! Just be careful, this stuff can get dangerous.
You will need:
- 2 ripe Haas avocados
- 1/4 red onion diced
- 1 clove garlic
- Handful cilantro
- Lime juice
- Pinch of pink or sea salt
- 2 habanero peppers (I used Red Savinas)
- Cut avocados in half, remove pit, and toss into blender.
- Add red onion, garlic, cilantro, salt, hot peppers, and a bit of lime juice atop.
- Blend until smooth. I don’t have a measurement for the lime juice because I just squirt a little at a time and keep blending until I get a smooth creamy consistency.
- Spoon out of blender and enjoy with a meal of your choice

This recipe is so simple to make there are actually only two pics needed!
First, cut avocados in half and remove pit. Squeeze or spoon out of skin and put into blender. Dice red onion and garlic and throw them in too. Add a handful of cilantro, a pinch of salt, and a couple hot peppers. Though I call for habaneros and this is my spicy habanero guacamole, you don’t HAVE to use hot peppers let alone any peppers up to you. For me the spicier the better. Anyways, add a squirt of lime juice and get that blender running.
